Yael, the Australian resident of New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. Yael was fortunate to be able to collaborate with the best storytellers in Australia. Her experience includes behind-the-scenes work in television, film as well as theatre. Yael has had a long and successful career working in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael has made New York City her home in the wake of the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced this critically-acclaimed show. Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. Based in an Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery encourages writing, innovative creative projects and assists in the development of young writers.
